We are seeking a hands-on System Engineer to support the further development and stable operation of a RAN automation and control platform. This role combines RAN domain knowledge, Kubernetes expertise, testing, requirements management, and close coordination with internal teams and external partners in an international team environment. You will help integrate new customer environments, quality-assure new features, and contribute to rollout readiness and operational stability.
What You'll Do
- Platform Development & Operations: Support the further development and stable operation of a RAN automation and control platform, including the integration of new customer environments.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Plan, execute, and document testing and acceptance activities for new features, releases, and integrations to ensure high solution quality.
- Requirements Management: Capture, structure, prioritize, and translate new feature requirements into implementable items, including dependencies and acceptance criteria.
- Rollout & Operational Readiness: Support rollout preparation, operational stabilization, troubleshooting, and the creation of practical runbooks or support documentation where needed.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with engineering, operations, project management, internal development and platform teams, and external partners to align expectations, status, risks, and delivery priorities.
What You'll Bring
- RAN Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of RAN concepts and operational environments; experience with O‑RAN or SMO topics is a plus.
- Kubernetes Expertise: Practical knowledge of deployment, operation, troubleshooting, and stabilization of Kubernetes-based systems.
- Distributed Systems & Interfaces: Strong understanding of distributed software systems, technical interfaces, integration points, and operational dependencies.
- Testing & Acceptance Experience: Experience in testing and acceptance of complex software solutions, including documentation and quality sign-off for releases.
- Structured Requirements Work: Ability to analyze requirements, clarify scope, identify dependencies, and drive implementation follow-up in a structured way.
- Communication & Coordination: Clear and transparent communication style, with the ability to align engineering, operations, project management, internal development teams, and external partners.
Even Better If You Have
- Software Development & Implementation Know-how: Solid understanding of software development and Kubernetes-based service implementation, with the ability to assess whether new services or features are technically sound, maintainable, and fit for the operational environment.
- O‑RAN / SMO Exposure: Familiarity with O‑RAN, SMO, or related orchestration concepts in the RAN domain.
- Operational Documentation: Experience creating runbooks, troubleshooting guides, acceptance documentation, or similar operational support material.
- ·Customer Integration Experience: Experience working with external customer environments or partner teams in multi-stakeholder delivery setups.
