We are looking for a Head of IT to take ownership of internal IT operations, IT security, and AI adoption across the company. This is a newly established leadership role with broad scope and strategic impact, ideal for someone who can bring a clear vision of how internal systems and IT operations can support and scale the organization through modern, secure, and efficient technologies.
What will you do
- Take full ownership of internal IT operations, internal security, and AI adoption across the company, proactively driving improvements and long-term scalability
- Lead and develop a team of 5 people across multiple areas, including:
- Internal IT security in cooperation with external providers
- AI automation and AI adoption initiatives across teams
- IT support and workplace operations, primarily focused on software, systems, and applications
- Actively identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and AI integration, and drive their implementation across the organization.
- Establish scalable IT processes, standards, and governance, ensuring both operational excellence and security
- Serve as the company’s key authority and trusted partner for internal IT and IT security topics
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Security, HR, Operations, and leadership teams to support company-wide initiatives and business growth.
- Build, mentor, and evolve the internal IT function over time
- Own vendor management, tooling decisions, budgeting, and strategic technology investments, balancing innovation with business needs
- Continuously improve the overall team member experience related to internal tooling, productivity, support, and digital workplace operations
- Manage technical security operations and coordinate security governance with external Security experts
Expectations for the first three months
- Gain a deep understanding of the current internal IT landscape, systems, tooling, workflows, and operational setup across the company
- Identify the most critical operational, security, scalability, and ownership gaps, and propose clear priorities and quick-win improvements
- Evaluate current AI usage and automation opportunities across teams, and prepare a practical roadmap for scalable AI adoption and internal process optimization
- Define the initial long-term vision and direction for internal IT, workplace technology, security, and operational scalability
What we are looking for
- Strong interest in AI tooling, automation, and modern workplace technologies, ideally with hands-on experience implementing AI-driven initiatives internally
- Proven experience leading internal IT teams or departments in a fast-growing technology company
- Strong understanding of modern IT operations, workplace infrastructure, identity management, SaaS ecosystems, endpoint management, and IT security
- Experience driving security best practices and collaborating with security-focused teams.
- Ability to operate strategically while remaining pragmatic and execution-oriented
- Strong people leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical teams
- Experience building processes, scaling teams, and driving organizational change
- A proactive and independent mindset - someone who can define direction, not only execute existing plans
Nice to have
- Experience in cybersecurity environments or security-driven companies
- Experience with compliance and security frameworks
- Experience managing hybrid or globally distributed environments
Technical background with hands-on understanding of modern cloud-based IT ecosystems and automation tooling
