As VP LATAM, you will lead our commercial expansion across a fast-growing and diverse region, owning the P&L and driving go-to-market strategy while balancing immediate revenue goals with long-term positioning. You will build and develop high-performing sales and customer success teams, working cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Technical teams to ensure strong market fit. As the senior representative of Whalebone in LATAM, you will establish trusted C-level relationships across the telecom ecosystem and play a key role in shaping our global growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive regional strategy and P&L, ensuring sustainable revenue growth and profitability across LATAM
  • Build, lead, and scale high-performing sales and customer success teams to meet acquisition, expansion, and retention targets
  • Establish and grow executive-level relationships with telcos, CSPs, and strategic partners across the region
  • Represent Whalebone as a senior spokesperson in the LATAM telecom ecosystem, including industry events and key forums
  • Translate global strategy into actionable regional plans, aligning execution across cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, and Technical teams to drive customer impact and product-market fit
  • Drive market intelligence, competitive insights, and feedback loops to inform company strategy and positioning
  • Foster a strong performance culture, developing leaders and promoting Whalebone values across multicultural teams

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships within telecommunications or a related tech industry
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling regional or multicultural teams (5+ people)
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience owning revenue growth and P&L responsibility
  • Deep understanding of telco business models, VAS, and CSP ecosystems
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience engaging C-level stakeholders
  • Fluent English, Spanish and Portuguese
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the region (approx. 7–14 days/month)


Nice to have

  • Experience operating in LATAM markets with strong understanding of regional regulatory and business environments
  • Background in cybersecurity or adjacent technologies
  • Experience building strategic partnerships, alliances, or reseller models with telecom operators
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in forecasting, reporting, and market analysis
  • Experience leading teams through transformation or scaling phases in fast-growing environments
