Responsibilities
- Build and grow strategic relationships with telecom operators and CSPs across the MEA region.
- Own and lead the sales process end-to-end, from opening new accounts through negotiation to agreement signature.
- Drive revenue growth by negotiating and closing high-value contracts with C-level and senior decision-makers.
- Jointly build compelling business cases with telco partners, clearly articulating commercial value, ROI, and long-term impact.
- Clearly articulate the business and customer value of Whalebone Aura as a mass-market cybersecurity solution with no endpoint installation.
- Shape go-to-market messaging and commercial models in collaboration with internal customer-facing teams.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and CRM reporting.
- Represent Whalebone at industry events, conferences, and partner workshops.
- Support faster time to market, by coordinating the efforts from different teams at both Telco side and Whalebone.
- Jointly lead the efforts to increase the revenue to be generated
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or strategic account management within the telecommunications industry, with regular exposure to C-level stakeholders.
- Proven track record of owning and closing complex, enterprise-level deals with telecom operators or CSPs.
- Established network within telecom product, marketing, or commercial teams in your target market or region.
- Fluent English is required; French is a strong bonus.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and executive communication skills.
- The role is based in South Africa, willingness and readiness to travel 3 - 5 times per quarter across the Middle East and Africa.
- Proactive, adaptable mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-scaling international environment.
