Over the last 18 months, Whalebone has grown from 80 to 160 people. We’ve doubled not only our headcount, but also the number of leaders, and expanded globally. Today, around 30% of our team works across different countries, with 70% based in Brno.

During this growth phase, we focused on building solid HR foundations - core processes, frameworks, and ways of working. Now, we’re entering the next chapter. We want to go deeper into performance management, development conversations, leadership support, and building a culture of cooperation and expertise across global teams.

That’s why we’re looking for an HR Business Partner who enjoys working closely with leaders and teams, and who wants to help shape how Whalebone grows, not just how it hires.

Being an HRBP at Whalebone means wearing more than one hat. It’s not always easy, but you won’t be on your own. You’ll have the support of a collaborative HR team that will help you understand our organization, teams, and ways of working, especially at the beginning. We’re looking for someone who wants to bring ideas, shape solutions, and see their work used by colleagues across the company.

What's ahead of you

  • Proactive HR counselling and advisory support to leaders across all HR areas, with a strong focus on: team member relations, organizational structure, performance and development discussions, engagement, retention, and culture
  • Day-to-day operational HR support and implementation of HR plans aligned with business goals
  • Equipping leaders with the tools, knowledge, and guidance they need to manage their teams effectively (including employment law basics)
  • Building strong partnerships with managers to support engagement and healthy team dynamics
  • Close cooperation with the HR team based in Brno

Who we're looking for

  • At least 2 years of experience in an HRBP or similar role in a tech, telco, or sales environment

  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • A proactive communication style (many of your stakeholders will be in different locations)
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership
  • A positive, friendly, and diplomatic approach, sense of humour definitely helps

Why Whalebone

  • Your work will directly influence how Whalebone grows, develops leaders, and supports its people
  • You’ll work with teams across countries, not just from one location
  • You’ll have space to influence HR practices and turn ideas into reality
  • You’ll be part of a collaborative HR & Office team that values trust, partnership, and continuous learning

What the interview process looks like

We want to get to know you properly.
You can expect:

  • 3 interview rounds (including meeting the whole HR team and some of your future stakeholders)
  • A short practice case study

Let’s grab a coffee (virtual or in person) and talk.
