Bookbot is a recommerce platform that operates in 10 countries and has already sold over 10 million books. Every day we sell around 20,000 books. These are numbers we want to double every year. We are among the 16 fastest growing tech startups in the CEE region, we have a number of awards on our shelves and big plans in Germany and across Europe.
Step into the room where you'll find 100% YoY growth, rapid European expansion, and book market disruption!
Bookbot is looking for a Business Analyst, a right hand to our COO Láďa Bárta, to help us make smarter decisions, optimize our operations, and keep our fast growth sustainable.
Why this opportunity matters
- You'll be at the center of key decisions about investments, automation, and efficiency in one of Europe’s fastest-growing tech companies.
- You’ll analyze warehouse automation projects, supplier tenders, and big investments - from multi-million CZK warehouse equipment to contracts that shape how we operate.
- You’ll be the person asking, “Does this make sense? Is there a better, faster, cheaper way?”
- You'll work across departments - from BI and finance to operations and expansion - and help us find and fix what slows us down.
- Your work will directly influence our profitability, scalability, and the way 30,000+ books move through our system every single day.
- You’ll start hands-on: spending your first weeks in the warehouse and with key departments, learning how every book, process, and cost works before you dive into optimizing them.
About you
- You might be thinking about consulting, MBB, or the Big Four, but you’re looking for something faster and more tangible - where your ideas don’t sit in PowerPoints but actually change how things run.
- You already have some work experience - whether in consulting, startups, or even McDonald’s. What matters is that you’ve learned to get things done.
- You thrive in a high-speed, high-ambiguity environment. You like figuring out messy systems and making them clean and efficient.
- You’re not looking for remote work - you want to be in the office, close to where the action happens.
Must-have skills
- Solid understanding of finance and business controlling - you know what a P&L is, and you can tell whether an investment makes sense.
- Strong analytical and data skills (advanced Excel / Google Sheets or BI tools).
- Excellent organization, persistence, and assertiveness.
- English C1 and Czech C1, knowing only one of these would slow you down
Nice-to-have
- Legal literacy - you can make sense of a contract or help negotiate key terms.
- Advanced data skills (SQL, Python, R…).
- Curiosity and courage to take ownership of problems no one’s solving yet.
What we offer
- If after reading this you don’t feel that this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, it’s probably not for you.
- Our overall budget for this position is between 78,000 and 95,000 CZK, depending on your experience. We expect you to reach 115,000 CZK within one to two years.
- You’ll work directly with COO Láďa, BI Markéta, and finance Petr on problems that actually matter.
- You’ll learn fast, get your hands dirty, and see the results of your work.
- 20% discount on books, VIP tariff for book sales, filtered coffee, parking near our offices at Kolbenova metro station, and a personal development budget.
