What is a purpose of this job?
Proactive collection of debt from customers in accordance with agreed payment terms, using appropriate chasing techniques. Reconciliation and maintenance of customer’s accounts.
As the role involves daily communication with US-based customers, the working hours are set from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM to align with their business hours.
Principal accountabilities:
- Ensure 3rd party debtors are proactively chased and pay within agreed payment terms to maintain overdue debt and DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) within agreed target levels
- Monitor payment performance of customers and escalate immediately where appropriate
- All CRM (Customer Relationship management) activities reviewed and followed daily
- Maintain accurate and up to date all chase records and interaction with customers in CRM
- Daily review of credit hold list and follow up with customers – (list of sales orders held due to overdue)
- Highlight all customer’s disputes and record in SAP immediately to ensure quick turnaround
- Daily review and follow up on all disputes on assigned customer’s accounts
- Daily review and follow up with customers on unallocated payments
- Issue copy invoices/credit notes and account statements as required
- Liaise with Credit Risk team to ensure accurate data is maintained and all risks to collections are identified
What are our requirements for this role?
- Working Experience: experience in Business to Business accounts receivable role (credit control, cash collections) or Experience working in shared service center would be highly preferable.
- PC: Advanced level of Microsoft Office (excel), SAP knowledge preferable
- Fluency in English AND another European language (e.g. German, French, Spanish, Italian – not including Czech or Slovak) is required
- Other Skills: SAP knowledge is an advantage (AR & GL modules, FSCM module).
- Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills
- A good sense of humor is definitely a plus – we like to keep things professional, but fun! :)
