A Day in the Life (What You’ll Do)

  • Research, design, develop, and validate invasive products (catheters, introducers).
  • Build prototypes; design & assemble test fixtures; write test methods; run DOEs; analyze data to guide iterations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across BTL—Engineering, quality, manufacturing, and purchasing; support supplier qualification and incoming inspection.
  • Work with external suppliers and the purchasing team to ensure components meet requirements.
  • Perform calculations and analyses (tolerance stacks, strength/fatigue, thermal/reflow windows)
  • Support pilot builds and manufacturing transfers; troubleshoot transfer issues and lead root-cause/corrective actions.
  • Document work in protocols, reports, DHF records, and lab notebooks; contribute to regulatory deliverables and timelines.

Your Profile

  • Strong communication skills, team spirit, and a proactive mindset.
  • Quick to learn, open-minded, precise, and adaptable to change.
  • A degree in Mechanical / Biomechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Material Engineering, or Medical Device Development.
  • Ability to communicate in English (Czech is a strong advantage, as our team works in a Czech–English environment).

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of engineering materials, component selection, and design for reliability and manufacturability.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software.
  • Understanding of coronary and vascular anatomy, physiology, and model development (a big plus).
  • Previous experience with medical devices.
  • Hands-on project work in a team setting.
