20 Man-Day Engagement Project
Seeking an experienced QA Consultant to conduct a comprehensive review of our infrastructure, codebase, and CI/CD pipelines. Evaluate DevOps infrastructure (ArgoCD, Terraform, Helm charts) and application codebase (Python, TypeScript) to deliver a strategic QA implementation roadmap.
Project Phases
Phase 1: Assessment (8 Days)
- Audit ArgoCD configurations, GitOps workflows, and deployment strategies
- Review Terraform modules, Helm charts, and Kubernetes manifests
- Assess Python/TypeScript codebase architecture and testing frameworks
- Evaluate CI/CD pipeline architecture and testing integration
Phase 2: Analysis & Recommendations (7 Days)
- Define QA strategy and testing pyramid structure
- Design quality gates and acceptance criteria
- Create prioritized implementation roadmap with timelines
- Recommend test automation frameworks and tooling
Phase 3: Documentation & Transfer (5 Days)
- Deliver comprehensive report with findings and recommendations
- Present to leadership and conduct team workshops
- Provide training on recommended QA practices and tools
Required Qualifications
QA & Testing
- Experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing
- DevOps, Infrastructure, and CI/CD quality practices
- Python testing frameworks (pytest, unittest, coverage)
- TypeScript/JavaScript testing tools (Jest, Cypress, Playwright)
- Test automation strategy and implementation
Infrastructure & DevOps
- ArgoCD, GitOps workflows, and deployment quality gates
- Terraform best practices, testing, and validation
- Helm chart testing and Kubernetes testing strategies
- CI/CD pipeline quality controls and testing integration
Consulting Skills
- Proven QA consultant or technical advisor experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Technical documentation and implementation guide creation
- Independent work with tight timeline delivery
Technical Skills
- Python, TypeScript/JavaScript proficiency
- Test automation tools and frameworks
- Static code analysis and quality metrics tools
- Monitoring, observability, and quality monitoring
Duration: 20 working days (4 weeks)
- Week 1: Infrastructure and codebase assessment
- Week 2: Deep-dive analysis and gap identification
- Week 3: Recommendations and roadmap development
- Week 4: Documentation and knowledge transfer
