We are looking for a motivated Radia Access Network expert to join our Prague team who wants to contribute to shaping the future of mobile networks. What you will do
- Evaluate Emerging Technologies: Conduct technical assessments of emerging technologies (e.g., 5G to 6G evolution) through both theoretical analysis and field trials.
- Design and Integration: Lead the evaluation and integration of future mobile technologies, focusing on performance and cost within the Radio Access Network (RAN).
- Provide Recommendations: Deliver technical recommendations and present results to the DT group based on detailed assessments.
- RAN Strategy Development: Contribute to the development of future Radio Access Network (RAN) strategies, aligning with the needs of an increasingly connected and wireless environment.
- Explore New Access Technologies: Actively explore and assess new access technologies that could benefit the DT group in the future.
- Project Management: Manage and lead trials of new technologies as a project manager, ensuring successful implementation and outcomes.
- Supplier Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for new suppliers and startup companies, evaluating solutions and providing assessments.
- Network Topology Preparation: Prepare the existing network topology for seamless future development, ensuring systematic progression.
- Technical Documentation: Define technical requirements and prepare comprehensive questionnaires and tenders for technology providers.
- Roadmap and Recommendations: Contribute to the long-term roadmap of available solutions, providing recommendations to DTAG for future technology deployments.
- Knowledge Sharing: Initiate and organize internal training sessions to share insights on upcoming technologies with the team.
- Innovation and Business Opportunities: Stay updated on technology trends, identifying new business opportunities for growth and development.
Required knowledge and skills
- Educational Background: A University degree in Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant Experience: At least 3 years of experience in research, standardization, or system engineering within mobile radio network technologies.
- Mobile Network Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of mobile networks, including 5G and LTE-A technologies.
- Strong Technical Expertise: A solid foundation in wireless systems and radio communications, with a deep understanding of electromagnetic field propagation, signal processing, and data processing techniques.
- IT & Networking Skills: Proficiency in TCP/IP protocols and IT systems.
- Programming Skills: Experience in programming languages such as Matlab, Python, C++, or similar.
- Project Management: Proven project management skills, with the ability to lead initiatives and manage multiple tasks.
- Language Proficiency: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; German language skills are a plus.
- Presentation & Communication: Excellent presentation and communication abilities, capable of conveying complex technical concepts effectively.
- Travel Willingness: Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed for the role.
- Team Player: A collaborative mindset with a strong focus on teamwork and achieving shared goals.
