The company Deutsche Telekom Technik GmbH is a 100 % subsidiary of Telekom Deutschland GmbH and provides the nationwide technical infrastructure of the group. The Tribe Business Management is responsible for proper financial and workforce utilization, allocation, planning and reporting. The systems and applications used to effectively facilitate the above mentioned are also within the responsibility of the tribe. Therefore, their design, development, planning, validation, and operation is done in the tribe.
One of the areas covered in the Tribe Business Management is Requirements Management. For Requirements Management we are using the Polarion platform. Currently we are seeking a motivated colleague to join our team to work with us as the Application Support Specialist for this platform. We are using agile tools and methods and the DevOps approach to support the entire lifecycle of the system.
What you will do
As the Application Support Specialist, you will be operating and developing advanced technical solutions for the Requirements Management (RFI & RFQ) process and Procurement process and helping to raise these to the next quality level.
- Operate Linux and Windows Server 2019 systems
- Ensure Security and Data Privacy compliance of the system
- Conduct error analysis and troubleshooting sessions as well as performance analysis and optimization measures
- Support and test / validate the automation of deployments in all system environments
- Onboard new projects into the system
- Onboard new users into the system
Required knowledge and skills
- Attitude, motivation, and the drive to delight our customers
- Solid experience and knowledge of LINUX and Windows Server technology
- Experience or are eager to learn Apache Velocity, xml, html, JavaScript, Java
- Experience with TASTE-OS and Hardening
- Necessary knowledge to perform RHEL8 > RHEL9 migration
- Experience with the L1 and L2 user support
- Basic knowledge of the Procurement and Requirements Management process
- Solid experience in developing and documenting complex, technical concepts/specifications, and requirements for a system
- Experience with communication with a software supplier (you will be dealing with Siemens – the supplier of Polarion
- English level C1 expected, German level C1 considered an advantage
- You are accustomed to work in geographically distributed team using online tooling such as JIRA, confluence Wiki, SharePoint, teams, Webex and alike
